Victoria Jean Photo Art

Victoria grew up in Northern Wisconsin, where she began her photography in an old-fashioned dark room. She is currently based in Northcentral Florida where she continues to expand her photographic skills. She is a certified FAA Drone Pilot, avid SCUBA diver and novice astrophotographer and has a love of photographing and learning about everything from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of our universe- quite literally. She turns that fascination into works of art in an effort to share her experiences with the world.

Through her stunning photographs, you can get a brief glimpse into the things that fire her imagination and inspire the artwork she creates. With an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, especially when it comes to the depts of outer space, Victoria's photographs evoke emotions, spark curiosity, and inspire a deep appreciation for the natural world. Whether it's a serene sunset over the ocean or a mesmerizing starry night, her images transport us to moments of pure wonder.

Victoria has been passionate about space exploration for years. She documents human spaceflight by photographing rocket launches from scenic locations across Florida and along the Space Coast, sometimes even being able to capture behind-the-scenes moments from within Kennedy Space Center. She also contributes to NASA-led citizen science projects, helping study atmospheric conditions on Mars, and assisting astronomers in identifying and classifying unusual galaxies.

Victoria’s space art is rooted in photography. Using a smart telescope and an astro-modified camera equipped with a hydrogen-alpha filter, she captures the rich, dreamlike colors of the night sky that are invisible to the naked eye. She then carefully blends these images into a single, cohesive work of art. Her process is entirely grounded in her own photography; she does not use generative AI. Each piece is created from scenes she has personally captured, which she shares on her website alongside thoughtful reflections for others to enjoy.

"Space should not feel remote from everyday life. The cosmos is vast, mysterious, and deeply beautiful, yet it is accessible to anyone willing to look up. Through my photography and storytelling, I aim to make that sense of discovery tangible~ to show that extraordinary worlds exist just beyond the limits of ordinary sight. My hope is that these images encourage others to explore, create, and share their own view of the universe, spreading curiosity and wonder from one person to the next. In doing so, we remind ourselves that our world is part of something far greater~ and that the desire to explore is part of what makes us human."
