Havasu Falls Core
A long hike into a strictly controlled area deep within the Grand Canyon led to Havasu Falls where we camped for three nights along the turquoise green waters. This image was created after a failed first night due to high winds vibrating my ultralight tripod far too much. On this second much less windy night, I perched at the edge of a cliff to shoot the falls during blue hour with my Sony A7IV with Sony 24-70 lens at 24mm, f13, 400 ISO at 2.5 seconds. I then came back at 2:00 in the morning to set up my astro-modified Sony A7sIII on my MSM Nomad tracker in the exact same spot on that cliff to begin tracking the rising Milky Way. I had a short window before the glowing core on the lower right would be obscured by a canyon wall. The Milky Way. The sky was shot at f2.2, 2000 ISO, 60-seconds, 5 exposures stacked and edited in Lightroom then blended together with the foreground in Photoshop.
