Charleston360 #255#255 Let's take a trip somewhere else. A local treasure of a park, old Pitt Street Bridge in Mt. Pleasant. No longer a complete bridge, it once spanned the waters between Mt. Pleasant and Sullivans Island. Now, it is a long and narrow park with a small pier at the end where the bridge once stood. I can just imagine this bridge in its heyday, carrying soldiers and citizens across to go about their business in neighboring towns. Today, to get from Mt. Pleasant to Sullivans Island is a much longer drive. The photos over the next couple days will show you the serene surroundings of the Pitt Street Bridge. Comments
